Vessel

As I pour the paint,

I pour out all that is within me.

The echos of others

My forgotten parts

I pour out what I hide from

I pour out what I run to

I pour out my soul

And I dance

I dance with all of me.

Vessel is a short film born from a simple question:

What would it feel like if "I" was the paintbrush?

As a performance artist, I have become accustomed to being a canvas, a conduit, a vessel for the ideas and dreams of others.

And while being a representative of the dreams and ideas of others can be thrilling, it can also leave you feeling hollow and empty.

It is easy to get lost trying to adapt, play the part, and not disappoint.

Vessel was my attempt to find myself among the all the roles I play in life.
